Is Agnosticism Self Refuting?

It is often stated that agnosticism is a self refuting position. There are different varieties of agnostics out there so it does depend on what form you are talking about. There are those who just throw up their hands and say that THEY do not know about God or absolute truth or whatever and so they call themselves an agnostic. They are being honest about the fact that they do not have the cognitive faculties to make a determination or if they do have properly working cognitive faculties, there is just too much information out there that they cannot get a handle on from their finite perspective so they cannot make any kind of definite determination. Happiness is a Moral Obligation?

What do you think of when you see a person who’s life revolves around being happy? Do you think of them as selfish? Self Absorbed? Maybe a little shallow? These are all thoughts that I know I have had at one time or another when considering the morality of happiness. We often think that morality is more about doing what is right than doing what makes you happy, and this is certainly true to some extent. Often we need to choose the right thing to do because it is right without any concern of whether or not it makes us happy or not. If we are happy when doing the right thing it is a bonus but we SHOULD NOT be doing it because it makes us happy as it almost seems like it kills the morality of the act.
