our biggest problem is sin and what is in the human heart: lies, deceit, greed, selfishness, murder, theft, gossip, backbiting…and that is what Jesus came to do: to set us free from those things that enslave us and to bring us back into a relationship with the Creator of the universe. We needed a Savior, not a scientist.
I think what the video is pointing out is that for all that Jesus said about being compassionate to people and taking care of their physical needs, it is odd that he left out so many things that we could have used to truly help those who are suffering. Instead of performing a few random miracles in a small town in Israel, he could have taught about how we too could actually help millions of people who are stricken with diseases. Jesus seems to make good works to those who are suffering so important that your entrance into heaven is totally dependent on it (Matt25).
