Jesus said He is the truth and His words therefore are the truth. He is the Word of God made flesh. The entire Scripture points to Him and His redemptive work. The various translations do not detract from this fact. The power of His Word is also demonstrated in the lives that have been changed by the transforming power of God. We could also talk about prophecy as an example of the accuracy of the sacred volume of Biblical Scripture. Bart, like the theory of evolution, casts doubt on the truth of Scripture, and therefore tempts men to reject the claims of Christ, to repent and serve God. God has commanded all men everywhere to repent. It is dangerous to make such statements as his and run the risk of overthrowing the faith of some.
